The 7th instalment of the Bi-Annual Gauteng Cup between Central Gauteng and Gauteng North was played on the banks of the Hartbeespoort dam on the 24th of August 2020.
Host PGA professionals, Morne Botha and Kevin Wylie, presented Pecanwood Golf and Country Club in great condition and the hospitality was just world class. We must thank them and their team for all the effort put on to make their fellow PGA professionals feel welcome.
The Gauteng North team went into the event trailing 4 – 2 and having clinched the previous edition had a lot of confidence going into the event.
The event is played over 36 holes in a Ryder Cup style and the 16-man Gauteng North Team walked away the eventual winners after a great day out with the winning score of 18,5 vs 13,5.
