Neil Whitehorn – Creative Director
|What led you to becoming a PGA Professional?
|Golf has always been a passion of mine. I always knew that I wanted to be involved with the game and after leaving high school, have it be a part of my life going forward. So it seemed like a natural fit to become part of one of the most incredible organizations in order for me to live out my passion.|
|How long have you been in your current position?
|My current position I have only held for approximately 8 months|
|What does your job entail?
|I am held responsible for all things creative. From concept creation to creating promotions, competitions, brand awareness and brand building to all things content related on behalf of our clientele and their digital marketing requirements.|
|Do you have any environmental or sustainability goals that you have met and would like to share?
|Within our industry, being all digital and online, it is what you could say environmentally friendly as there is no need to print paper or waste any natural resources. All can be achieved through direct communication with users and their devices.|
|Please give us a brief outline of the path you took to lead you to your current position||I was offered a wonderful opportunity to get involved in a business early on, many years ago. I started out at ground level with zero previous experience and through hard work and a passion for what we did, we were able to help other businesses from a range of industries grow and reach their potential.|
|Why do you feel that you would be a good candidate to win this award?
|I feel that within the golfing industry in particular, I have been able to create and have a hand in the growth of many digital communities and the digital footprint for a large number of golf clubs and professional golf tournaments, on some of the biggest stages in golf from the Sunshine Tour to the Asian & European Tours.|
