What led you to becoming a PGA Professional?

At first, I had to sign up through the Gary Player Golf Experience, but then I was happy that they made us do it as I quickly started to realise the brand and everything it stood for.

What does your job entail?
|
Shop/retail and teaching. Also help with Golf Ops at the club. I was also Club Captain recently for 3 years.

Please give us a brief outline of the path you took to lead you to your current position
|
Played on Tour from 1986 upon turning pro, then stopped in 2002, and taught at the World of Golf from 2003 up till 2009, before Houghton. Been a Houghton member for about 46 years, so came back ‘home’ as Director of Golf when the club re-opened in 2010, and then took over the shop and Head Pro role in 2011.
