What led you to becoming a PGA Professional?
|
I started golf at age 13 and my club pro had his name on his belt clip, I told him from day one I’m going to have one of those and be like you. Then after school I started working for him and started my apprenticeship. Qualified 2013 now I’m here. @Kennethdube

How long have you been in your current position?
|
I Have only been in this position for 3 Months but I have worked for Global Golf 4 years in total.

What does your job entail?
|
Management of the pro-shop, retail, club fitting and golf operations.

Do you have any environmental or sustainability goals that you have met and would like to share?
|

Please give us a brief outline of the path you took to lead you to your current position | I have always had a passion for the retail side of golf and the golf operations on the side is a bonus to keep me busy on a day to day basis, I love to operate and surprise my customers with product. Once I completed my apprenticeship I started as a shop manager at Benoni CC and worked myself down to Cape Town.

Why do you feel that you would be a good candidate to win this award?
|
I feel that I would be a good candidate, everyone that has worked under me are in management positions now and the reason for that is to lead by example start something with your team keep them motivated and always thank them for what they do. You need to know when it’s the right time to delegate.
