WCape 2×2 Regional Chmapionship

DATE: Monday, 10th September and Tuesday, 11th September 2018
VENUE: Stellenbosch Golf Club
TIME: Monday, 10th – afternoon times and Tuesday, 11th morning times (Tuesday is a seeded draw)
COST: Professionals R850 and Amateurs R950.
Price includes 2 x green fees, 2 x halfway, 1 x pizza evening, 1 x lunch, 1 x breakfast
PRIZE FUND: R20 000 total prize fund for professionals
Pay outs will be made in accordance with the PGA standard schedule in terms of the Rules & Regulations
FORMAT: Professionals – Strokeplay for the Regional Championship and the 2×2 Challenge.
Amateurs – Individual Stableford (maximum handicap of 18 allowed)
Team – Betterball Stableford (Professionals may use their club handicap to a maximum of 4) for the 2×2 Challenge.

When emailing, please state your PGA status – Qualified or 3rd / 2nd / 1st Year Apprentice
NOTES: There is usually sufficient space for all entries. In the unlikely event that the field is full, then preference will be given to Qualified Professionals, then 3rd year, 2nd year and 1st year Apprentices.

All entrants must be in good standing with the PGA.

All participants are required to be at the prize giving and must wear a collared evening shirt and bring a jacket to the prizegiving. Jackets must be worn when collecting a prize. Failure to comply will result in a fine being issued.

All cancellations should be directed to the host professional in good time as per the Tournament Rules and Regulations.

Please note that Apprentices are not eligible to play in the Regional Championships, only the 2×2.

DRESS CODE: Strictly golf attire.
• At National & Regional “Official functions & Prize presentations” – all PGA members involved in any prize presentation must wear a jacket and collared evening shirt. The stipulation to exactly when the jacket must be worn is when called up to receive a prize.
• All professionals are expected to adhere to the dress regulations on the course and in the club house facility and are also responsible for the dress codes of their amateur.
• Fines and deducting order of merit points will be enforced should the actions of the Pros or their respective guests bring the name of the PGA into disrepute.
